Job Description

As a Manager Events and Sponsorships, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition through:
Coordinating all local and global sponsorship efforts, and corporate promotional events for Hamad International Airport. It will focus on developing relationships with new sponsors, and for managing existing relationships, as well as leading external and internal events at the airport, in coordination with all relevant stakeholders, to enrich and drive HIA's brand activation strategy.
Set up comprehensible sponsorship strategy and guidelines for the company, to make strategic partnership decisions, which are aligned to the company's overall short and long-term goals.
Develop framework of monitoring event management from concept to delivery to ensure they are delivered as per HIA standards and with approved budgets.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with current and potential sponsorship partners by ensuring objectives of both parties are met and keeping updated on upcoming opportunities in order to maintain the company’s profile.
Initiate HIA brand activation plan (Digital – Physical), to leverage passenger experience.
Leading all sponsorship negotiations and ensuring timely renewals, reviews or mid-term negotiations.
Plan the annual events and sponsorships budget and strategy with the Section Manager and monitor approved budgets.
Perform cost benefit analysis and provide recommendation to Section Manager to assist with making sound financial judgement.
Qualifications
About you:
Without a degree for Internal: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma based on role) with minimum 9 years of job-related experience
With a degree for External & Internal: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years of job-related experience
Previous experience in marketing/sales/advertising.
Previous managerial role, managing a team in the arena of sponsorships and events.
Must have a strong, working understanding of every Marketing, PR and communication channels, as sponsorships must be integrated across them all.
Strong background in sales and marketing and/or events.
