Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Pre-Contract
·        Prepare / Review of BOQ from the Drawings and scope of work as per the standard methods of measurement.
·        Carry out quantity take off during various stages of project development in accordance with the standard methods of measurement.
·        Carry out checks on the consultant BOQ / cost plans for correctness and issue relevant reports.
·        Reviewing / Assessing the Claims and Change Request submitted by various consultants during the post tender stage.
·        Prepare and update CR log and other change management forms required during the pre-contract stage.
·        Preparation of tender document and assist with commercial tender queries where appropriate.
·        Preparation of departmental reports and statements accurately and in a timely manner and as directed by the Sr. QS / Sr. Cost control manager
Provide support and assistance to cost estimation team.

Post-Contract
·        Verify & certify the progress of works as per Invoice and payment application submitted by the contractor(s) during post contract stage.
·        Verify & certify the progress of works as per Invoice and payment application submitted by the consultant(s) during post contract stage.
·        Prepare and update CR log and other change management forms required during the post contract stage.
·        Assess the Claims and Change Request submitted by various Contractors / consultants during the post tender stage.
·        Prepare BOQ from the Drawings and scope of work as per the relevant standard methods of measurement.
·        Preparation of departmental reports and statements accurately and in a timely manner and as directed by the Sr. QS / Sr. Cost control manager.
·        Provide support and assistance to cost estimation team.


Skills
Qualifications and Knowledge:
BSc in Quantity Surveying or Post Graduate Diploma in QS from RICS accredited institution, plus training to be or preferably MRICS, or above, designated chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Experience:
Five to seven year experience in a contracting or consultancy organisation as a quantity surveyor.
