Job Description

To plan & execute Mechanical and Electrical repairs & maintenance of Mobile plants and associated equipment while complying to site safety rules and actively maintain safety controls. To manage the onsite Maintenance team and supervise any OEM contract work. To Assist the Operations Manager with planning, mobilisation, construction and delivery of CAPEX Projects for mobile plants within the UAE. Will be responsible for • Ensuring all machinery are maintained in accordance with manufactures specification • Manpower and resources are adequate to meet maintenance objectives • Producing daily work schedule and monthly cost projection for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools. • Supervising the safety & productivity of workshop personnel, onsite mechanics and operators will be under direct control of this position. Candidate will be responsible for all UAE Plant & Maintenance & Quarry Workshops. This position will be reporting into Operations Manager & Assistance Operations Manager – Industries, UAE Operational Responsibilities • Oversee and ensure that Company safety rules and Procedures are being followed at all times • Coordinate daily maintenance activities in accordance with the IMS maintenance procedures. • Allocate general and daily responsibilities to direct reports • Producing daily work schedules and monitor attendance of direct reports • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate to meet maintenance objectives. • Supervise the safety & productivity of workshop personnel, onsite mechanics and operators under your direct control • Ensure all machinery are maintained in accordance with manufactures specification. • Analyse and action all test reports • Responsible for monthly cost projection for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools • Responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all parts and assemblies. Administrative & Legal Responsibilities • Produce Monthly cost projection for all spares and materials related to mobile plants • Plan and implement daily and weekly maintenance schedules in consultation with the Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, Quarry Foremen, Asphalt Plant Foremen and Maintenance co-ordinator • Record and monitor direct reports attendance using Orion system • Produce Monthly Cost Projection reports for area of responsibility • Reporting of defects through an incident report (IR) or continual improvement action report (CIA) • Comply to local and company regulations Human Resources Responsibilities • Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the Direct Reports and contractors. • Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on site quickly and amicably • Ensure compliance with Company HR Policies and Procedures Quality Assurance Responsibilities • Ensure all machines are maintained according to manufactures guidelines • Plan work and arrange material to achieve quality work in accordance with agreed timelines • Inspect quality of work achieved by external contractors for CAPEX projects and general repairs • Report any issue that might affect the quality of the mobile plants

Sound knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of the following heavy plant and equipment Knowledge of hazards associated with, heavy mobile plant and quarrying operations. Vehicle repair, maintenance and reconditioning skills. Understanding of different makes of vehicle Sound knowledge and understanding of hydraulics both fault finding / diagnostics and repair or reconditioning of components Sound knowledge of auto electrics. Sound knowledge of test and certification requirements of mobile plant, lifting equipment, high pressure equipment Job-related skills Computer diagnostics on heavy plant Multi lingual speaker Language Abilities (Spoken/ Reading / Written) Excellent communication skills, the ability to speak, read and write English is required. Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Email Communication, Analytics, Data Visualisation etc) IT Literate with experience in the Microsoft operating systems / tools and internet applications for reporting and maintenance cost analysis.
