Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities:
·         Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to acquire, process, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis and reporting.
·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
·         Ensure the integrity, security, and quality of data by implementing appropriate data validation and cleansing techniques.
·         Optimize and fine-tune data processes and systems to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency.
·         Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks in a timely manner.
·         Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to implement and maintain the necessary hardware and software infrastructure for data processing and storage.
·         Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance data engineering capabilities and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
·         Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architecture to ensure clarity and maintainability.
·         Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.


Requirements:
·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
·         Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
·         Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
·         In-depth knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases, along with hands-on experience in data modeling and schema design.
·         Experience with cloud-based data technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including data storage, compute, and processing services.
·         Strong expertise in data integration techniques and tools, such as Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, or Informatics.
·         Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
·         Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations.
·         Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
·         Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
